I used to pick up of a "Granny" who was 60 old years old, with cancer and was/is a MMJ dealer. Really nice lady and had the propper nice buds aswell, unfortunately she had to cut me off as I was buying up her green supply!

SYDNEY, Australia (AP) -- An 81-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with growing and selling marijuana in eastern Australia, police said Tuesday.

The elderly woman, whose identity was not immediately released, was the seventh person arrested in a police operation targeting drug dealers in the rural town of Young, around 250 kilometers (155 miles) southwest of Sydney, New South Wales state police said in a statement.

She was charged with one count of cultivating marijuana and one count of supplying the prohibited drug.

She was granted bail and ordered to appear in the Young Local Court next month.

A dang shame! Wonder if they kicked in her door? Or are Aussie cops more human than the US cops?

Last summer here in Vermont, a 61 year old lady JUDGE was busted for 25 outdoor plants. She recieved the misdeamenor sentence for posesion, under an ounce (I think). A cultivation rap would be a felony, actually anything but possesion of an ounce or less is a felony, but the sentances are harsh. Right now the Vermonty senate jusrt conveined session and there will be discussion of lightening the punishment for pot busts. I wrote my state senator, US senator as well as the Gov and told them that it should be legalized and the control should be taken away from criminals and gangs and controlled by some gov agency to make a profit!

Insane, hope they treated the young lady well. Pretty sad when you go after 81 year old ladies.

Though i believe no one should be prosectued in regards of cannabis, she knew the law, just because she's old it doesn't excuse her. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

Nonsense, the law is wrong. Sometimes I think it's my fault for letting it happen.
