help planning a first time grow

Hey

I'm planning on a first time grow, outdoors. I'm planning on these seeds. I picked these because they are suited for outdoors, short plants, and hopefully a high yield. Also, they will send to the US discreetly.

I've included a link to some average temperatures during the year, they are fairly close to what I've seen.

If anyone can help, there are some things I'm looking for based on my local information. I live in a Southern California town, about an hour away from Palm Springs, i removed my town's name for security reasons.

Here's some things I'm looking to know
-Are the seeds good? A good strain? A good place to order from?
-What would be an ideal time to plant these seeds based on my area's weather?
-Are there any precautions I should take? I plan to plant them under a tree, where they can receive sunlight, yet be cooled by some shade. It is regularly 100F+ in July and August.
