Anyone have any idea as what to get my parents for christmas. They are both in there early 50's and I would like to get them something they could use together. Looking to spend around 200 dollars. was thinking about a couple spa package but then that just sounded gay and I dont think my dad would really go. they dont smoke so cant go that route....

Wow. That's going to be a nice present and it's nice you're putting some thought into it!
Do your parents do stuff together? Do they have activities they like to do together, like movies or eating out or going to certain stores? Do they like cooking or working in the yard together? Sports activities? When our son gives us together presents, he generally goes in the direction of some activity or interest we have together.
I gravitate more and more to gift certificates that people can use to get things for themselves. For my parents, who I think are hard to buy for, I'm getting four gift certificates. One to a restaurant they go to all the time. One to an art house movie theater they like. One to Bed Bath & Beyond, where they like to go get kitchen gadgets and things like sheets and towels. And one to Barnes & Noble, their favorite bookstore.
Well, now that I started typing, I think I remember my mom saying that they want one of those new refridges that have the pull out freezer on the bottom. So maybe a gift card to Lowes would work.
How about some new furniture?
Perhaps some jewellery it always tends to go down well, matching watches rings that sort of thing.
damn main I have gotten them all of those things in the past, the spa thing I got for em with a trip to vegas, it was a waste of money. They loved the trip to vegas, but the spa my dad had nuthin but complaints, mom didnt mind though. If you plan or get a deal on a vegas trip you can get a deal for 2 for about $200, for $400 I could have sent em on a carabian cruise for 3 nights 4 days. I dont know what to get em and I have been think of it since July, I guess gift cards to alot of places will do. The theaters, and mabey a couple resturants. I dont know I hate X-mas
I am not on speaking terms with my parents but, I gave them a nice and semi expensive GPS and a card to tell them I still love them.
