picking a vape
So after a long talk with an old friend and the obvious smokers cough/possible pneumonia I may have from ice bong hits, I've decided to purchase a vaporizer. For once I am very concerned for my health. I feel that this $150 or so will be the best investment for my health. If I'm going to be smoking (in my case) I feel that I should be doing it as healthy as possible. I've hit a volcano before:D but feel that spending that much is too much ($540?) for me. Any suggestions/advice for a vape around $150? Thanks guys and ladies.

This is how I see it. The Volcano is like a Lexus (or some other luxury car). Its the best you can buy, IF you can buy it. Not all of us can afford a luxury car, so you buy another car you can afford that's not a piece of crap. Everyone will say buy a Volcano cause they are so damn great, but I'm with you, I can't afford that!
So my suggestion, research models and make sure you don't buy some crappy Yugo type vaporizer! Personally, I have a Hotbox, and I really like it. It was $150 and its served me quite well. Also, make sure to cruise the websites AFTER Christmas-SALES!
Good luck and happy vapping!!!

picking a vape
So my friend calls me this morning telling me he's going back to this sick shop in San Clemente and asks if I'm down. Of course I said and told him I need to get a vape. So I chose the hotbox vaporizer will try it out tonight and let you guys know. People working there said it works nicely and is a local product. Anyone have/used one of these? Advice on keeping this thing clean and safe/etc would be appreciated. Thanks:)

As stated earlier, I have a Hotbox. Mine's red. The tube gets gross and brown dirty. I haven't found a good way of cleaning that, so I replace them. The good news is you can buy it at your local hardware store for like 69 cents. I boil the glass parts to clean them. Finally, I just wipe the box itself with a wet wash cloth. Everything is shiny & new!
The most amazing thing I have noticed with my Hotbox is I can seriously leave it on for like 8 hrs with no problems. On the weekends, I'll turn that baby on when I wake up, and vape all fucking day. Its really wonderful, man. Being full body stoned all day makes for one awesome day if you ask me!
Happy Vapping!!

Get a Hands-Free Vapor Bros... its perfect requires NO work and it heats up fast, 150 should be about what you'll pay, tho headshops might raise that up a bit

Yea i think I payed a lil over for the hotbox (black) $179 seen it for $150 online..oh well. tried it out tonight and works perfectly isn't harsh on me at all which was my exact purpose so mission accomplished. I like the simplicity of it and its small size, it doesn't look like a smoking device so its good camo, it looks more like a oversized square pencil sharpener if you ask me. Started saving the vaped weed for brownies:) I can't wait for those.
@sociobud
great to know you can leave it on for so long. don't you think the hose came a little short? i did.. ill be heading to home depot soon for more tubing.
@otottoto
w/ the hotbox there is no heat control so I guess positive/negative you'll never have to think about setting it..said in the instructions that you control the heat by how fast/slow you suck.

@sociobud
How long have you had your HotBox?

I've had my HotBox for close to 1.5 yrs. I've never had a problem with it (knock on wood). It did take me FOREVER to figure out how to use it; how long to wait, how fast/slow to inhale, etc..I figured it out.
