ok well i got an 8th of northern lights from my dealer and it smells really repulsive to me. so im down to my last nug of it right now and i almost dont want to smoke it because it tastes so bad. but it gives u a really good body high and munchies. it makes me think of chemicals and shit every time i take a hit but it doesnt feel like its been laced at all. advise? i seriously gagged on a hit from it.:rasta:
Ask someone with more experience than me about water curing your weed. Or send it to me!
You need a wide mouth glass jar, a small lid that will fit into the jar, a small weight- I use glass marbles, and I like distilled water, but tap will do. THC does not dissolve in water very easily, but those chemical ferts are quite water soluble. You will not lose any potency! However, flavor, color and "bag appeal" will vanish with the ferts.
Put the bud in the jar, place the lid on the pot to hold it down and add the weights. Add water to fill the jar and let it sit 24 hours. Pour off the water the next day. Refill and let it sit another 24 hours. Repeat until the water is clear. Drain well and let dry.
I have a dehydrator and I run it on just the fan to dry the pot, but just letting it dry naturally on top of the fridge will work fine. The weed will look awful! Zero "bag appeal". But it will smoke very smooth with no harshness (or flavor).- Granny:hippy:
Sometimes ive found rarely its not so much because it wasnt cured as because it wasnt flushed properly toward the end of flowering.
Eww ive got a little bit of weed like that right now and just wont smoke it. I save that for when im desperate, if ever.
Yeap. A chemically taste normally means it hasnt been flushed at all, or properly. You'll find this with hydroponicly grown bud more than soil grown, but it happens with both. This is what happens when growers just want to get their product out as quick as they can so they can make a bigger turnover. Water curing will do the trick.
Although, uncured bud [normal dry curing] will have a horrible taste too - very planty and all in all - CRAP.
Do u guyz not know about "Tasty Puffs"?! It's stuff thats comes in a small bottle, that's made of All Natural ingredients and color. They come in different flavours like blueberry, bubble gum, strawberry, pineapple, and tons more flavours! So, all u do is just put a couple drops in ur bowls, or in ur joint, etc. and ur weed will taste like the flavour!:thumbsup: I alwayz use these!:) i've tried strawberry, blueberry and bubble gum. but strawberry is my fave!:D and they are only 2$ a bottle. So, if u want ur weed to taste good, I recommend them!:thumbsup: if u get them where u live!:jointsmile: I'll take pics of the bottles later!
