Your Stance on Net Neutrality (Network Neutrality, NN)?
As all of us here are obviously internet users (and who's not nowdays?), how do you all feel about network neutrality? Ron Paul's stance against legally enforcing neutrality is what made me curious as to what everyone else on this site thinks. I never thought about the issue much until I heard he was against it.
Personally, I wish NN laws were enforced. I feel that the internet is one of the only places where people remain 100% equal. Speaking as an American, the lack of a law making NN enforceable will eventually lead to less freedom. Our rights are being ripped from our arms fast enough as it is. Sometimes I feel like the internet is the only places where one can truly be free, and that thought is nothing but depressing.
Ron Paul claims that not enforcing NN gives companies more freedom, but I feel it possibly makes us unequal, and in turn a little less free.

Its probably just a matter of time before the masters of the universe in Wash.D.C. put controls on it. The already own the pipeline going overseas. If they can figure out a way to tax the shit out of it they will.

Net Neutrality should be enforced. The internet was founded upon this notion.
Many of the big internet providers, Comcast, Verizon, etc. are starting to give preference of traffic to sites of their choosing, while giving other traffic less priority. Why should anyone get preferential treatment of traffic? It hinders pure competition.

I am sure they will try to regulate it somehow. I mean it is for our own good....right? Isn't that what they're here for, to protect us from ourselves?
