not budding
hi all
i have a question for everyone and i really need some help answering it.
right, so i have this friend who might ( :P ) be growing 2 sativa and a indica plant under a 400 wat hps bulb. they started off under 4 cool white fleuro's when they were just little seedlings and after about 2 months they got placed under the 400 wat on a 16/8 cycle, after about two months, at 1 and a half meter high, they got changed to a 12/12 cycle now this friends is sitting with 2 9 foot plants that just arn't budding. its been about 3 months on 12/12 cycle, in a garage, in complete darkness for 12 hours, other than a little nute burn, he hasnt had any problems, what could be causing this??? please any help would be much appreciated, many thanks from my friend and me, to you in advance.
regards
edit: oh the plants are in a bubler system, 40 litre tank, with some constom chemcals bought from a local shop, with some flowering agent thats supposed to be really good ( havnt a clue whats its called, the powder looks like small fibre white flat grains)

It could be either the nutes or the strain. I suspect its the strain. Some sativas grow huge before they start budding.

Are you still feeding them with a high-nitrogen fertilizer?

the nutes of using consist of a a/b mixture, as far as i know the a part is a nitrate molecule, the ratio's that i used to use were 1:1 (before budding cycle), now im following an instruction guide given to me with the nutes from teh shop, and im using 7ml of a and 9ml of b to every litre of water, with 3 ml of the flowering agent. the indica plant also isnt budding:(...non of them are, but the sativa plants are growing through the ceeling. thanks for the responses.
