The smell is strong and incredibly complex. When I first came across the bud, it smelled very tropical, fruity, and somewhat citrusy. A five day cure has let way to a completely different aroma. Now it smells fresh, somewhat like sandalwood/mountain air (I canâ??t pinpoint it), potpourri, and tropically when cut into. It definitely appeals to your senses. I find myself just wanting to smell it at times. The taste is out of this world. The inhale tastes like sugar coated fruit on your tongue. The smoke is incredibly smooth but expands immediately. Upon choking out the exhale, your left with a fresh musky, almost leathery, taste.
The high is a journey, I know, it sounds clichĂ©-ish, but itâ??s the best way to describe it. At first your left asking yourself, â??what the hell, I donâ??t even really feel it.â?ť Then it hitsâ?¦ you begin to feel an immense shift in your senses. You also notice an uplifting in your psyche. Everything seems at peace as your brain remains mindful. It makes me incredibly relaxed and calm yet alert and aware if you can believe that. There isnâ??t much of a confusing body high, just a complete change in mental attitude and awareness. At times, if you really find yourself focusing on a noise (whether it be a rhythm or just every day sounds that you seem to omit throughout your daily routine) or an image, your peripherals can become somewhat psychedelic. It lasts anywhere from 90 minutes to more than four hours depending upon how much is smoked. Eventually the effects wear off to a mellow nothing. The effects make it a one hitter, but the taste always makes you want to smoke more than needed.
The strain on the far right, smelled fresh and earthy. The smoke tastes somewhat like fermented fruit and wine on the tongue with a hint of spice.
I can definitely say that these strains are not a beginners or recommended for minorâ??s to smoke. I would only recommend it for true connoisseurs who appreciate the taste and aromas of fine cannabis and also who are mentally ready to handle and understand the brief, but intense, psychological effects.
