Question for those who have done the Dilution sticky

Have any of you followed the directions perfectly and still had the test come up too diluted and had to retake?

The reason I ask is because I stopped smoking for 40 days, then smoked 6 bowls over a 2 day period ending last Thurs. By the time I take my test, I'll be 10 days removed from my last hit.

I'm testing negative right now (6 days removed) on a home test with a very faint line, so I was thinking about diluting on test day just to be sure.

However, if I'm pretty much clean, I don't want to risk a diluted test when I may be good to go without diluting.

Anyone?

Thanks for the heads up. I know I'm probably obsessing about nothing, but I really need this job. I just found out my wife's pregnant with our first child and I'm freaking out!

Jesus fuck christ! Don't fuckin' tell him that! Especially if he has a kid on the way. Everyone's body is different! So many factors as to *why* it may not be safe.

Take a home test, follow the sticky. Follow the sticky and take a home test. Mother of fuckin' god...

You *may* (and that is a very very very unsure may) that you will be ok. But I wouldn't chance it. Not with kids man, or in general for that matter.

I've seen a lot of success stories from people following the sticky, I've had my own success from it.

So, as I would say, "hey, yeah your probably freaking out a bit", you have every right to, but follow those instructions and your on the right track. I certainly wouldn't play a game of chance.

Pay attention to people that post a lot. anything by FBR tends to hold water.

Also, I see you home tested, but I've seen situations (as well as my self) where different times it comes up positive and other times negative.

Time of day seems to have a factor but I couldn't tell you for sure.

I'm not telling you to dilute or not dilute, someoen else can answer, but I'm not going to say your good to go either.

Thanks for the advice, man. I'm probably going to go ahead and do a "light" dilute just for my peace of mind. I've read through the sticky and seen people post that their test came up negative dilute, so I definitely don't want that as it could jeopardize me getting this job.

To be honest, I'm just ready to get this over with so I can stop obsessing about it. It's stressing me out when I already have plenty to stress about!

I've been given that advice as well to do a light dilute (drink 20oz of gatorade or something to that effect. The sodium is supposed to raise your specific gravity, I think so at least). Also, I took creatine tabs, so its supposed to help as well. Get a home test and take that right before hand for a little added piece of mind. It won't measure for a diluted specimen (I think the gs/ms does that) but you'll see how your sitting right before hand.

I understand the stressing out part. Especially when you have a pregnant wife (and given it's your first one you'll be stressing even more) and changing jobs. A lot to think about there, and not being able "medicate" sometimes sucks. This I know.

Be careful about stressing, I've read on here that anxiety and lack of sleep can cause you to release metabolites into urine, but I don't know how accurate that is. Trust me, you'll have plenty of time for anxiety and no-sleep in the coming years. ;)
