Smoking Weed Becoming More Difficult

alright hows it going yall its been a while anyway,

ive been smoking weed for 3 years, smoking daily for 2 years, and everyday for a year up until recently :(.

ive had anxiety for a very long time but have never done anything about it and its gotten much worse in the past 5 months. i feel paranoid even when im not high is a good way to explain it but its not consistent things trigger it thru out the day, to be honest i think its ocd cause i feel compelled to do things to alleviate the anxiety. (in no way am i blaming marijuana for this, paranoid is just a good way to explain it)

i jus cant even smoke anymore my anxiety equals automatic paranoia to the extreme. its like a bad trip to smoke weed cause i just worry about all the shit i normally would but its intensified. this frustrates the shit out of me cause i love being high, and i never used to get paranoid everytime i smoked. now its rare to have a good high. so i guess the whole point i was getting to was:for anybody who has gotten meds for anxiety when you start feeling better can you actually have a normal high i dont want to have to quit weed has made me a better person and open up to many different views on anything and everything and i jus wanna sit back nd enjoy being ripped a listen to tunes AND NOT BE FREAKING OUT

Well dude, where is it you're smoking at? If you're in your room or trying to smoke in the shower where your parents don't know, etc, well then of course you'll be paranoid.

I used to get paranoid all the time, stupid stuff like I'd be watching a movie, and I'd bring my arm back and it would hit the wall. Then I'd realize that my arm hitting the wall just made a loud sound, and I'd get paranoid that my parents heard it and would be coming to investigate, etc.

Then last year I went on a week-long vacation with my family. It would have been a pretty bad week if I couldn't smoke at all, so I straight up told them about it. Ended up smoking a bunch of bowls with my dad and everything was great from then on.

And now, being in my house, knowing that my parents definitely don't care, is very relieving. Even my brothers know now and don't care.

Even with the enhanced paranoia effects of weed, there still has to be something to get paranoid about in the first place. If you put yourself in a situation where there is nothing to worry about, I think you'll be fine.

I still get paranoid with stuff like when I have my music loud, always thinking that neighbors are going to call the cops or something, because at that point I've given myself something to be paranoid about again.

nah i mean that has its causes when im at college cause i go to college in a city, nd have to smoke outside cause for some reason a doob tube wont work in my room which is beyond me??? but anyway i jus get anxious about the same things that cause my anxiety nd it sucks... actually the only place i dont get paranoid is smoking in bed at home cause i can relax even tho my dad is a cop lol i dont worry about my parents when i smoke at home been doing it for years

I have found that taking 5-HTP, and other supplements, helps to relax me - as well or better than antidepressants did when I took them. I am able to smoke without any anxiety or paranoia - or other drugs.

It could be that your problem is due to something neurological or some other medical problem. I know that if something is wrong with me I often get symptoms that make me not want to use cannabis. On the other hand, it is a great healer of the digestive system - which is where I've had a lot of troubles most of my life. You may want to put another posting in the Medical forum. Maintaining your health is the key, and sometimes you just have to figure out what is wrong.

Smoking very small amounts weed, until you're comfortable again, is also a good way to approach it. I use tiny bits throughout the day, and it's very relaxing.
