Do I need to kill my plant? A few MALE flowers at about 35 DAYS FLOWER.
yeah, well the title says it. I have a plant that has maybe 6 main buds and maybe 4 of which have one or two male flowers on it. Do I need to cut this down to protect the remaining plants? Its probably too late anyhow right? Any chance of such an abnormality not being a problem?

if you're positive that they are males then.....Hack them down man! Quick!

Do you mean that your female plant has started growing balls? If so, it has hermied on you. Pinch off as many of the balls as you can see. You can also use a Dutch Masters product called "Reverse", which stops the plants from growing seeds. If you use the Reverse, also use their "Penetrator" product.
If you can't afford the Reverse, just keep pinching off the balls as soon as they appear. Having a herme means your buds will have some seeds, maybe a lot of seeds if you don't get things under control. But it isn't the end of the world; the bud will still be good.

I use those products by DM and they work well, but I have never used them outside of the recommended method of spraying the first day of flower and 10 days later. I think that you are supposed to apply before buds are in heavy formation.
You can pinch the balls/sacks off and you will probably not have any seeds if any, unless some have already bursted. Hermy sacks are usually fairly controllable anyhow, but I am wondering if you caused them to go south? Significant light leaks can cause it along with high temps and irregular light cycles, for instance a timer tripping out and messing up your 12-12. Male flowers in 12-12 late in flower are usually do to stress.

Isn't that supposed to be how you produce femenized seeds? If so then maybe you want to keep this. In the long run, if it's a good strain, this could be a huge advantage.

Threw my research and experience that is not true. I did think it at one time as well, but the form of making fem seeds is dif, and yes there is more than one method, but the way of using seeds from a herm plant isn't one of them. There are a few threads on the board on it and quite a bit more info outside of the board on it as well.

I used them in week four of a ten week strain and didn't have any ill effects. The plants are now in week seven - looking good and putting on weigh everyday.

I'm with Bear, that's the way I've always used it as well....Day 1 and day 10 of flower cycle. I remember my hydro guy sort of beating it into my head that it was necessary to use it in the first WEEK of bloom (I missed it one time and called and asked him) but Rock sprayed a bunch of it on his hermie-ing plants and he says it stopped the balls from forming (so far....) which I thought was pretty interesting.
VERY good to see you back on the boards BlueBear.....I've missed you and your wealth of info. Hope everything is well with you and your family. :)
