Help me quit - im screwin up bad

PLEASE HELP ME BREAK MY MENTAL ADDICTION TO WEED. how can I do this? It's tearing me apart.

Im really interested in this girl but whenever I hang around her I go and get high with my friends and then she leaves to go with some other friends or guys to hang out.

I am always promising me that I wont do it and I will hang out with her the night, but I ALWAYS give in to myself and I get high. No one likes me when Im high ( i am high right now ) so my friends took me home.

I feel like the biggest sucker in the world. I want to hang around this girl and get to know her and eventually see if she will want to start a relationship, but I always get high.

Help me stop this, it's fucking things up. I just want to have fun with friends, but I always fuck up and get high.


EDIT: I almost got caught by the cops. We were rolling a fatty when they rolled up and asked what we were doing. We barely got away. Its not even worth it.

wow that sux, its like tottal oppisite with me and chicks and getting high, none of my frreinds have aproblem with it. if you really think you have a problem then go seek profesional help....
- and ya it really is all mental, so try and avoid triggers that make you wanna smoke, and try taking up something else instead of smoking, i do hookah when i'm out of weed

if people don't like you when you're high, that's a bad sign that there's something deep within your character that comes out when you puff. With virtually no variation, weed brings out the true inner self. No offense intended, but even if you quit the herb that chick would probably find that you're ultimately incompatible.

You could try to quit, and maybe quitting will make you a better person, but it comes down to self-discipline. There aren't really many easy tricks to quitting a mental/physical addiction, and a lot lead to a situation where you're trying to fill the void left by no herb with something else. No matter what the substance is, you need to be content with your true self, and you'll see yourself the way others see you, and you'll be able to see and rectify the inner problems you have. This is also difficult, but keeping a journal and paying more attention to the world's problems than to your own will help.

All i can say is, always be thinkin if your feindin, i will not let a fucking plant conquer me, its all in my head, i can fucking do this. also keep youself busy so you dont get bored and have a relapse, its all in your head, i quit cigarettes after a year of smoking saying that very thing with no patches or bullshit. if you think you can do it, you can fucking do it.

Buy your own bud, so you don't have to leave
smoke less at a sitting
Try different strain

If all else fails, you may need to quit for a while all together, not just when you want to hang with this girl

If you honestly think you have an addiction, as far as I know, there's no recovery program for MJ. I guess maybe AA? Same principle, from what I've been told. My best friend is actually in recovery for MJ, too; she was smoking ALL DAY EVERY DAY. But she's in AA here; we have NA, too, but she said that's for the really hard-core people.

Other than that, like has been mentioned, keep yourself busy and remember the first couple of days are the hardest. The self-talk that was suggested was excellent advice, just keep telling yourself that you can do this, you're stronger than this, etc.

How bout this? Keep on tokin and fuck that girl anyway, be like: chill with your government bullshit, i like you and wanna be with you, my choice is what i choose to do and if i'm causing no harm why should it bother you?

Cold turkeys the best method although can be very difficult...like said previously keep your mind busy....
...but wait..
Sounds more like you need to chill and think, get your mind at ease and understand your thoughts.

Personally when stuffs getting me down I like to smoke a bong and just close my eyes and dive into my mind..
