I don't want to beat a *really* dead horse but...I have to.
Can anyone give me a recipe for a soil mixture so perfect that I will no longer have to fertilize except for very rare occaisons. I am looking for a mixture that I can just water, sit back and watch grow. Even if the soil recipe is super complex, i would rather that then fiddling with add-ins all the time. Thanks!

I usually use Miracle Grow liquid for veg, Fox Farms bloom ferts for flower. Shouldn't take long to figure out the ratios, but start at half-strength, and increase ratio slowly till you find what your plants require. They will tell you what they need.
Virtually any organic potting mix should do. I do usually add a little extra perlite, and a bit of blood meal or worm castings, early in veg, but will still need ferts, micronutes and molasses throughout the grow.
starting with veg. a good soil and some worm castings worked very well. then before flowering at transplant a little more wormcastings and some powdered seabird guano mixed in,(carefull, there is still a chance of overfert if you add too much) it wasnt perfect but still pretty low maintenance. watering with mollasses and little additions when i noticed something.
take some pre-nutted soil from a store and add miricle grow to the watering starting the second week.
mir. grow is simple @ 7 drps/litre of water every 2-3 days
