I doubt that it would do anything to the bong itself, but I don't know how I'd feel about smoking from it....
Yea man, I think it'd be fine for the bong, but I'd make sure I cleaned the hell out of it with water and stuff afterwards. You don't want to inhale any of that shit I'm sure.
your gonna have to soak the bong in water for a while to get the degreeser, smell and resedue off, just use ISO Alcohol save the expensive degresser for the engines
put some alcohol and about a teaspoon or 2 of salt in your bong, cover the stem hole with your finger and swish it around for a bit, while you are doing all that soak the bowl and stem in a bowl of alcohol, and you will have a nice clean bong in no time. afterwards just rinse them off with water and you are good to go.
bongs are made of glass. scientists use glass to store acid. degreaser could work but would leave a nasty smell/taste in the bong. I like to use one of those scrub brushes with an extension on it and soap and some water. just be carefull. you can always put a towel in your sink incase you drop it it will land on the soft towell.

Well i've never tried the alcohol and salt method, however I have both on hand. I'll give that a go.
I was thinking degreaser because it looks just like the more expensive "420 solution" you see at head shops, except it costs about a third the price, and I know from working on cars with it that it can bust the hell out of some tough grease (and figured the same would be with resin). I didn't much consider a lingering smell/taste.
Thanks for the help guys.
No, don't use that. There are much safer and cheaper methods. That is used to engibes not bongs. :)
Just go buy a bottle of Isopropanol Alcohol (99% is best) at most drug stores and use that. It works wonders mixed with some salt. Then rinse very very well afterward with hot water.
It costs no more $4 for a small bottle.
heh a bottle of alcohol costs less than a dollar or two here.
