new seedlings starting to look sick, pls help. PICS
I've been growing bagseed on my windowsill for a while but I've just bought some nice seeds, Swiss Bliss, and germinated them in some seedling compost. They are almost 2 weeks since they sprouted. They are under 4 x 30W CFLs in a vented cab made from a small set of drawers. I'll be moving them on to a large cab with 400W HPS when ready.
They started off really well but now are looking a bit sick. The leaves are yellowing on the edges and some leaves are curling sideways a bit. Is it from needing nutes? I have been giving them only rain water til now.
The lights are not that hot and are about 5-6 inches from the tops of the plants. The temperature is between 16-18 degrees C. I did have the cab in my garage where it was 5-16 degrees but I moved them indoors as it's getting cold at night. The leaves started to turn after I brought them in. coincidence?
Any help greatly appreciated as always. Hope they are OK when I get in tonight!

stress due to the temps being to low raise your temps to 22c -78 f and dont feed them rain water to much acid in the rain use tap water and ajust the p.h.and the brown tip look like you have spiled something on the leaves.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks for the help.
The brown tips are starting to get worse it seems. it's not something that has been spilled. The other leaves are starting to turn like that as well, but not as far advanced yet.
I'll just keep going, see what's what. I don't want to loose £40 worth of seedlings, especially as I had a good few harvests off one old bag seed.

The leaves appear to indicate a high salt problem at this point.

Id say they need a flush if you've been feedin'em rainwater. Your soils probably gotten largely acidic so the plants cant suck up the nutrients they so badly need to grow. Do not try to fix this problem by feeding them nutes, it will only make things worse.

i agree on the salts probly. flush it lightly and try giving it tapwater left out overnight to evap chlorine

Cool, thanks.
I'll get a PH kit tonight and start giving them tap water. The tap water round here is very hard. I thought rain was the best for them being natural.
they need repotting to so I'll get some water ready to flush them before I do that.
thanks again
