New bass guitar

hey guys im thinking about getting a new bass guitar for xmas this year and i dont really know what to get. ive been playing for over 4 years and ive had my fender mexi jazz bass as my only bass. i like it a lot, but im just looking for something new. i play finger style about 75% of the time, im in band we play rock/indie sounding music, sometimes some heavier stuff too. recently ive been getting into some slap/pop funk bass too. i wanted to know if anyone had a fender american jazz to see if it was worth the upgrade, otherwise i was thinking about maybe a rickenbacker 4003, but from what ive read on the internet some people say they are great and others hate them. any other ideas would be helpful :thumbsup:

get a warwick, gotta love the natural wood finishes.

I got a Schecter 5 String Diamond Series, that I absolutely love, they are pretty reasonably priced too... you can find them on musiciansfriend.com

I have a washburn t-24. It is a great value ans looks amazing. Sounds great as well.
