depends on how much. small quanitys can be cured by placing in a paper bag and leaving in a dry place. open the bag once or twice a day for a few minutes.
larger amounts trim off the bigger leaves and hang in the closet.
the trick is not to let it dry out to fast. the longer the curing period the more chlorophil the plant looses and the sweeter the smoke. quick drying leads to harsh "homegrown" tasting buds.
i had a closet with shelves made of screens that i used to dry on. its an old wives tail that you have to hang them upside down so that thc will flow into the buds.
when they become dry enough for the stems to snap place in galass jars for storage

I find the best way to cure is to simply put the buds in a glass, airtight jar. A mason jar is good. I use old jam jars with the sealed lid and seperate rim.

i heard if you put a orange peel in the jar it will flavour the buds a little just make sure the peel is dry

Hennessy- you forgot to say that it takes less only a few days, compared to weeks for traditional curing. No taste to speak of, but quick and easy! I only water cure small amounts while the rest is curing. I dilute the pour off water and water my plants with it. I figure it's just a bit of extra water soluble nutrients. - Granny:hippy:

just hang them in closet for atleast a week and put in mason/canning jars
thats all you need to do
the longer in the jars the tastier the bud til it get to maximum potential
store jars in cool dark place and open twice a day for a little bit to let fresh air in and dont pack in jars too tight as to be easier to get good airflow in

be sure to open the lid of your curing jars a couple times day, for a few minutes ... degrading chlorophyll gives off some sort of gas (forget which one), and needs to escape ... and, there's absolutely nothing wrong with putting an orange or lemon peel, etc., in there with it, for aroma, if you like ... just don't use peels that will add dampness and possibility of mold ... I slow-cure, minimum of a month, and it pays off for me ...
