I'd worry more about the temperature variations up there than that!
If you have cops scanning your house with helicopters then you are already under investigation.
Most of that crap is Urban Legend that The Man is oh so happy to have you believe.
The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that police cannot scan your house without a search warrant. If they had a search warrant, they would come in through the front door.
PC :smokin:
Pharmacam,
I never knew the court ruled on that, good to know we still have some rights left. I do know they can go thru your trash without a warrent though.
Not till it's in the truck. :)Quote:

You sure? I thought it was when you put it at the curb or in a dumpster.
Anyone know the correct answer to this?
The correct answer is to not toss shit in the trash that you are worried about someone seeing.Quote:

I would default to the first part.
The supreme court actually rulled in a California case that it IS when it hits the curb in a bag. Alaska disagrees.
Google knows tons more.
Privacy Law in the USA
if you put your trash on the side of the curb anyone can look through it. Out in Tuscan a bunch of anthropologists are doing this thing called the Garbage Project where they go around and collect peoples trash and look at it to see what it says about society....really interesting shit
anyways when we were discussing this stuff in class I was told that once you take your trash outside it becomes public domain due to the fact that most people do not have a personal relationship with their trash collectors, they are essientally strangers. And 'parently if you allow strangers to remove your trash then you have no qualms with the 5-0 going through it.
I agree with doc, don't put anything in the trash you dont want someone to see. I take all my prunnings and put them in the garbage disposal, due to I don't have a composter.
