Pre-Employment Test

Ok I have a pre-employment test Wednesday. I became aware of the need to be tested this last Friday. The last time I smoked was Thursday night. I have been smoking for the last 10+ years, I am 6'3, over 250lbs. I used to be a "heavy" smoker but for some time now I might smoke maybe 1 or 2 (if a buddy comes over) joints a night. I do not smoke in the morning or at lunch only when I get home from my current job.

Since I became aware of the upcoming test I have abstained completely. I will have 5 days of no smoking prior to my test. I have a bottle of XXtra Clean that I will use the morning of the test. Test is scheduled for 10am and is part of a pre-employment physical and drug test.

Since Friday I have been drinking about 3 to 4 liters of water a day. Normally I drink about 2-3 liters of water a day. I do not drink alcohol. I don't even drink soda's much anymore so for me 2-3liters of water a day is the "norm" for the last couple of years.

I plan to go to a local gym and sit in the sauna for an hour or two tonight after work as well as tomorrow to help burn and pass more water through my system.

So will using this XXtra Clean from Detoxify and adstaining since last friday and my water consumption rate going to put me with in the realm of being able to pass? I am aware that I am probably going to be diluted but again I have had a high consumption of water in general for a couple years now so can always use that as an "excuse". Also wondering if on Test morning after I do the XXtra Clean and then fill that bottle up with water and drink it again within 15 minutes as directed should I continue to drink water or go get some gatoraid instead of water to drink before the actual test? If so how much gatoraid should I try to consume prior to the test?

Thanks for any info. Really hoping I can pass the test. I will probably be staying clean even afterwards since they do random testing year around but just getting pass the pre-employment test is my biggest hurdle. The job will be nice because I am looking at about a $7 dollar an hour increase over my current position.

Drinking that much fluid you will get a negetive dillute for sure.
The "excuse" won't work unless they can call a doctor that will give them a medical reason why you are drinking so much fluid.

Sitting in the sauna will do no good. But it feels good anyway.

Detox kits don't work. Its all the fluids they have you take with the kit that may help you pass.

Decide whether you want to sub or try dillution.If you want to dillute read the dillute sticky.If you want to sub,which is what I highly recommend in your particular case, pick up some synthetic urine and practice.

Well just an update. I passed the test and got the job. Now this was a Non-Federal, Non-DOT, 7 panel test unsupervised. I tried to hydrate alot prior to it and went into the test 5 days clean. I was a long time smoker. Day of test I drank a 24oz Gatoraid (the one with the electrolites) and took 4 asprin. About two hours before test I drank the XXtra Clear. Waited 15 minutes, refilled bottle with water and drank. Waited another 15 minutes and refilled bottle and drank. Ate two rolaids. Voided about 3 or 4 times. On way to test had to piss like a race horse so had to stop by a store to relieve myself (wasn't going to make it to the test center). Got some coffee to try to "add some color" to urine (was pretty clear in previous voids). Went to test had to do physical first which included the old drop trowl and cough hernia check (so guess good thing didnt try subbing and stashing under sack). Wasn't able to pee right off so drank about a liter more of water. Finally gave sample. Was kind of faint color wise so was a bit worried.

Sample was sent to CRL labs in Kansas and the UA guy didnt spot check it other than for temp. Anyway got job, they just told me I passed the physical and drug test so don't know results but I assume was a neg dilute but apparently since it was not Federal or DOT didn't matter to employer.

So for me XXtra Clean worked your results may very depending on how strick the test you have to take is. Mine did not seem that strick. Not saying this is a sure fire way to pass. Again was most likely a neg dilute test (or THC wasn't much of a concern for them). I dropped my sample about 2 hours after drinking XXtra Clean. XXtra Clean claims 45min effectiveness with max effectiveness at 2 hours and dimishing effects after 5 hours.

Thanks toker for the update.That was an awful lot of fluid. I would suspect a negetive dillute but normally I think they would have told you so maybe not.

No, they probably wouldn't tell you. Before I ever started smoking, before I had to even worry about coming up positive for metabolites, I used to drink a gallon of water anyway cause I would get peeing anxiety. This was obviously a negative dilute situation, and nobody ever made me retake the test or even said anything about it.

So unless it's a government job or something highly sensitive, I wouldn't even give it a second thought.
