hey i was thinking about something. right now i work front counter @McD's. during lunch i work with my mexican buddy L, and from 12-1 we both cant leave the register no matter what.
i noticed something that tripped me out. when someone would walk up to order, most of the time if they were white, they would pick me. and if they were black or mexican they would go to L. of course its different when we got hella people in line.
the interesting thing is i dont think these people really even knew what they were doing. not that what they WERE doing was wrong. i think we do that alot as people. take sides and make prefrences without even knowing it. we just go with what makes us comfortable.
sometimes people waiting for their food get really pissed off looking standing there listening to everyone speak spanish. its the worst with the young white moms w/thier little kids. they look like were ruining their children and poluting thier food. sometimes when they get their food they look as if it was more of a hassle than it was worth, like they just wanted to leave. one time this man started yelling at thi girl E who is only 16 saying "i cant understand you when you talk funny!!! why cant you speak english properly!" theres hella nice customers also. most people at my work are on the real mexicans.
other cultures and customs fasinate me. ill smoke with anyone man! im cant wait to get my hands on some of that eskimo bud:stoned:

Maybe because you work at a McDonalds in America and we speak English here ?
And how does the mom who does not speak Spanish know what you might be saying. You could be saying "nice tits", "I bet she can suck a beachball through a cocktail straw", or whatever? I completely understand her frustration.
Whats next, Line 1 for English, Line 2 for Spanish ?
