Okay, so I got a question!
My cabinet grow is progressing well under the new CFL (125 watts equivalent of 600 watts or something like that). Only enough space for 2 plants, one's definitely a girl, the other...I dunno yet.
Before upgrading the lights I had like 3 CFL's in there; lots of heat. The plant that was tallest at this point got a lot of heat damage, so I had to prune many leaves.
The shorter one (the one showing pistils) outgrew the formerly tall one under the new lights. (confused yet?)
Should the one with the stunted growth turn out to be a male, I might let it grow in and fertilize the female to get a crop of free seeds.
Look as I may on this site I havent found any threads on how to "harvest seeds", like how long are seeds still viable once the buds are dry?
Is it possible to selectively fertilize one bud and leave the rest of the female intact? So many questions ...
Okay, so I got a question!
I knew one guy who have actually pollinated just one branch, I have not personally however. But he had the pollen in a little sandwich bag, placed it over the bud very carefully and secured it tight on the stem with a rubber band, and shook it and left it on there for a bit. And it did work.... I'de be too scared to get the rest of the plant...

Like twenty stated, sure it can be done and you can use the method he discribes.
Also, you have 125 watts cfls and this does not equal 600 watts. That 600 watts is what the human eye see's not your plants.
Seeds last a long time if kept in a cool dark place.
