Does your Family have a history of Drug/Alcohol abuse?
Genetics. People with alcohol and drug abuse problems often have a family history of substance abuse. Studies indicate that when this genetic predisposition for abuse is combined with environmental factors, the person is more likely to develop a substance abuse problem.
Temperament and personality. Rebelliousness, resistance to authority, feelings of failure, and failure to form close relationships are factors that may lead a teen to seek the effects of alcohol or drugs.

I've noticed that a lot of my relatives were alcoholics and drug abusers. Which is a factor in my drinking and pot intake.

Wather you believe it's in your blood or not. Do you have anyone in your family that abused drugs and alcohol?

Well, my mother, father, sister, and two brothers all smoke, but none of them are heavy smokers. They all drink too, but not regularly. I have alcoholics on my mothers side, and many of them died due to the drink. I however, don't smoke or drink regularly either.
I don't know what conclusions you can pull from that, but oh well....kinda high and rambling

I come from a long line of rigid, ascetic, abstinent mormonism. I even served an LDS mission for 2 years, which were the greatest 2 years for me to date. Except it wasn't the religion that made it great, it was being exposed to various ideologies, and seeing how everyone else views life and eternity. Now I see mormonism as pretty goofy, but there is some that holds true, like making yourself a god over your own earthly dominion, trying to be LIKE jesus rather than using jesus only as a care-giver, family values, etc.
didn't mean to wax religious. I wonder if my heritage of abstinence in some way relates to my extreme resistance levels to intoxicants. weed or alcohol, I maintain a fair amount of sobriety while consuming either. reason would suggest that a family history of substance abuse is more likely to desensitize you to inebriation, though
