Little help with an assignment!!

:jointsmile:Hi for my englis class I need to write an contrast and comparison essay of two poems. She gave us a list of a couple of poems but she gave us the option also of selecting a poemfrom the list and one of our choice. I dont know nothing of good poems and I was just asking if someone new a good poem. Appreciate the help.:jointsmile:

my father made me learn this poem. i used to know it all. i have healed my traumatizing childhood by blocking it all out with wine and thc, but the poem lingers.

what were your options for poems? i dont usually read poetry, but ive always been VERY good in english class... im sure i could help
