Saw IV

A lot of people probably don't think this deserves its own thread, but fuck it... I really enjoy the Saw movies, and I went to see the forth last night. Compared to the third one, I would say it is MUCH better. It was the same idea as the first and second one, the third one was kind of a totally random and fucked up mess. All in all I would say the forth one is... good, I enjoyed it!:hippy:

honestly i dont see why they keep making them the first two were crap (IMO of course) and i dont mind the gore but i suppose thats why people keep going to see them but i havent seen the third or forth just because of my opinion on the first two. mabe ill rent the 3rd and forth when it comes out just my :twocents: tho

ive only seen the first 3 and they all sucked. not scary at all imo, ill probably end up seeing the fourth one and regretting it like all other 3

these movies arent supposed to be taken so seriously. These are the Halloweens and Nightmare on Elmstreets of OUR time. Sure, you can say "Saw doesnt even compare to those classics," but, in 20 years, people are going to be saying the same thing about Saw and whatever is out at the time.

Its supposed to be a nearly plotless gorefest where the killer keeps coming back, even if the idea is totally illogical. They arent really "great" movies, but I like them.

And as far as they go, I might even say this is the best of the 4. There are no lame one liners or annoying characters, just a bunch of ridiculous contraptions.

none of the saw movies are even very gorey, i love them because they give me stuff to think about and analyze, most parts that are gorey are shot very quickly and dont give much gore at all, theres movies that will give a continuous shot of somone getting disected or some shit for thirty minutes straight, compared to shit like that saw is nothing, also i think that the reason a lot of people like saw is that they like a killer that they can identify with and one that isnt completely evil or has a reason for what he does, sure theres flaws but its a good concept.

i have yet to see saw 4 but i cant wait!
