Has this happened to ne one else?? RE: losing friends over pot

So get this, i started smoking pot back in april of 07, bout 6 months ago. Ne wayys it was all fun cuz i got my closest friends to smoke with me and we did a lot like every night during the beginning of the summer. WE HAD MAD SESSIONS like at first we had no tolerance and would smoke like 2 joints of some dirt weed and get BLOWN! :rastasmoke: , well me and 4 of my closest friends would smoke all night every night cuz none of us had shit to do and we all had part time jobs etc.

Well my point is, all of them cut back on smoking, and didnt wanna do it everynight, soo i kept on smoking everynight cuz it made me feel great and i love it. THen 1 night none of them wanted to smoke ne more, they would be like "o umm i'm just not feeling good " or some b.s. soo i would be like thats straight etc.

So i started to hang out with other friends who smoked , and surlely but slowly my OLD friends who used to smoke with me , stopped calling me , started talking shit about me saying all i do is smoke and i'm not gonna do ne thing with my life etc. AND THAT REALLY FUCKING PISSED ME OFF i mean come on talk about hypocrytes!! First there gonna smoke with me for like 2 months then stop smoking and say that its gonna fuck my life up , i mean come on now!!

So all in all i dont talk to any of them ne more (mind u i've known them since 7th grade) , and everytime i hear from them they call me a fucking pot head, stoner etc. And they run their mouths to everyone else of who we graduated with :( saying that i'm a pothead etc etc.

I just think its b.s. and i love smoking dont get me wrong, but i'm really starting to consider if i never smoked in the 1st place would they still be my friends??

I'm just wondering if this has happened to ne one else, and what did u do to resolve the problem etc.


O and when they do call me a pot head etc and say all i do is smoke, i tell them that i'll hang out with them and not smoke if they ever call me to do something but, they never listen so i say FUCK EM:smokin:

hey homie they kindA sound like bitches you know... the only people i know that would do that to me are bitches. you should twist up a SUPER phatty blunt then call them up and ask if they want to toke it with you. like back in the day when you all smoked. if they deny the buddress then its true then and you proved it. there bitches not to roll over and smoke that phatty blunt wit you. if you are a true buddress then you will call up some hotty&smoke it with her. Always remember spikey a friend with weed is a friend indeed!!

i just kinda made a thread in the rec section about my friend problems. I started smoking recently and im losing my friends already and it's making me feel like crap.

Well you have discovered one of the basic facts of life. Most people do not smoke pot. That is just the way it is.

I estimate about 75% of people reading this site, will not be smoking 2 years from now. Of course they will be replaced with new users and returning old users.

For most it is just a passing fad that they let go as they continue on in life. Sad but true. The remaining 25% of people here will smoke pot until the day they die. We are lifers.

If you are one of the 25% of true pot smokers, I suggest you get used to smoking alone. Also, learning how to grow will help keep you in weed.

Not trying to be a drag, but there is a reason this is the sub culture.

As a business owner I cannot smoke with any people I know. It is just not accepted. So I smoke and live this part of my life in secret. I have to much to loose if others find out and are not cool with it.

It's a load of shit. kinda happened with me too but they're not true friends if they don't understand YOU.

Don't worry too much about it. Hypocrites. Think if it wasn't weed, what else would it be next?

well look at it from tehre perspectitve.. your basically ditching them to be with smoker friends... you should probally cut back a little and when your not smoking hang otu with them and if u are smoking hang out with ur smoker friends

And thanks guys, and yeah it is pretty shitty i mean ive heard from other friends and family that tell me there not worth it cuz a true friend wouldnt ditch u for who u r etc, they would understand me. ANd idk it just sucks really bad. :smokin:

A friend will like u regardless of ur habits, they like u on ur personality and clearly these old "friends" of urs are judging u entirely on wat goes into ur lungs n not what flows out of ur mouth ;) u could b the nicet dude around, u know wat im sayin?

ya i agree man you need better friends then. maybe im lucky but all my friends from before i started smoking we all tried it and all love it and we all have been smoking every day for a few years now. and even if they didnt like it if they were really friends they would accept it and wouldnt not hang out with you just cause you smoke
