Important Choice in my life stating to effect my high.

Hey, I rarely post (if i had posted, not sure) on this forum and just read it really. Well, I now have this problem. I am a senior in highschool and its about that time to start looking for colleges. Unfortunately i really fucked up in school and failed three courses (but made them up in summer school). My failing courses show up on my transcript though. Everyday i think back and regret not trying in school. I don't know if ill get into any "Real" colleges, and im afraid that im going to end up home for a couple years until i get a barely mediocre desk job somewhere and live a boring simple life.

This is all i could think about when i got high earlier. Everyone i know has a plan, they know what their going to major in and what they want to do.
I think im the only kid in school that doesnt have any options, because im scare of going into the army. (Might sound like a really big pussy)
It feels like the walls are closing in on me...

I anyone has any advice for me, i would greatly appreciate it.

dude relax, im in the same boat as you , but my half is still under water. So what u did piss pore in higschool, go to a community college for 2 years, prove that you can succeed, then transfer to a better more recognized college. Who cares if everyone knows what there gonna do, there problem is they probally wont do it, people change along with what they want to do every year. I remember feeling what you felt my senior year of high school, but I didnt fail anything...or come close. I just felt generally unprepared all the time, even if I wasnt. I felt like people knew their plans before I had thought of mine. Honestly, it makes no difference I know people that have gone to horrible colleges, and now they are successfully running their own companies. My mom used to tell me something, she always said to do what you love, and to love what you do. Everything else will fall into place.

dude dont even worry about it your life isnt over or anything lmao. Heres my advice like kms said go to a community college and get a small degree in something there are so many jobs out there that just care if you went to any college, and dude theres a shitload of places you can work just knowing you graduated high school considering there are so many drop outs now days. Such as construction, mechanics, a lot of trades you can do without having a degree but is nice to have if you want to be fully certified in your trade.

im also a senior in high school but not looking for college. if i were you i would just look for a local college that will take just about anybody and has a good reputation. but it also depends what you are going there for. you could go to a tech school and do something with computers. they are a lot cheaper too! ask your school for a list of colleges and stuff.

You may think you're the only one that is going through this shit. Nah, man. I was in the exact same position as you, this time, last year. Look at me now. I buckled down, did what I had to do, and ended up in a great college. It's all about putting your heart and mind into it. Anyone can do it.

These times are hard. So many of us understand. Do your thing and believe in yourself. Getting down on shit never solved anything. Take care, man.

my dad went to community college, then state college, worked for a little while then got an MBA. Now hes got a 6 figure job, and is planning on retiring in a few years. if you at leaST try from now on things will probably work out.

don't sell yourself short. Find some colleges that may accept you. Put in A good effort and you may be able to matriculate to a more prestigous school if you think that's necessary. Find something that you really want to do and find a school carrying those types of courses. It's not to late. Be the stonerincollege!
