Another Soil Question..?

So have been doing so much research on Soil and see that there are so many ways, and all of them seem to be "The Best", Threes MG, FoxFarms,Black&Gold, Supersoil,etc......The list goes on forever, but I still can't make up my mind on a good soil.
So I am asking which Brands Seem to give You the best Results?? or Which have seemed to give more "Good" results than bad? I plan on doing my first indoor grow so I just want to get my shit straight before I jump into it. I have been reading the "Lighting" section for like a month now, and I want to get the soil chosen and out of the way so I can learn more about the cycles, get to growing in a few months, and have it done right.
Anyways advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

a friend who uses promix + extra perlite has great results. waters by hand organic teas.
promix is neutral with no added slow release fertilizer.
pretty easy for you to mix in your own blood,blone,kelp etc if you choose to.
has dolimite lime premixed into it. also an inorganic?wetting?agent? but i wouldnt be concenred about it. moisten soil with a slow watering before you use. optional to add extra dolimite lime if u want.

if you're gonna be mixing soil indoors garbage bags, rubbermaid storage containers w/lids and plastic drop sheets are pretty good friends to have around.

I have been thinking of mixing my own soil, but would rather buy a pre-mixed bag and add perlite if it doesn't have it in there already. I Have a new bag of "Supergro soil" in my shed and says its 6.5-7ph in the soil with gurantees that there is no weed seeds or pests, will this be okay to use? More suggestions would be great. With all that in mind, I believe the organic soil (no slow release nutes) and ONLY soil not peat moss mixture is best. Add in your perilite, vermiculite, and worm castings for a great base soil. It will have sufficient drainage, micro-organisms, and .... well dirt.

At any rate, I hoped this helps. It seems to be the most cost effective way to have a bad ass standard soil.

By the way, do you know a simple yet high yielding nutrient powder???:D

has everything added and is ph 7.0

promix is a premixed fairly neutral medium with no nutrients. adding extra perlite yourself is optional. perlite perlite perlite, you cant go wrong with it.

i dont think you should worry too much about mixing soils if you use water soluable fertilizer when feeding regularly with teas.

i searched the web for supergro, but couldnt really find anything (56k connection) supergro <--proper spelling???

also.. ive never had a problem w/ schultz organic potting soil. extra perlite of course.

people have many different views on what to use and is the best fert (nute) to use. To be totally honest with you from what I have read there are many out there.

Look for the nutes with something like 24-8-16 or any other combo out there availible.

THere are 10-10-10 and just tons of variations.

For veg stage find something that is highest N (Nitrogen) the first number. N-P-K
For the flowering stage find a fert with a high P (Phosphate) the second number N-P-K

Now plants also need other available minerals to grow they way that they should but marijuana need more N and P then anything. K is also important for growth and development but N and P are essential to this hobby.

Try to stay away with nutes that have something like this: 12-0-0 or anything else that has a 0 in the N-P-K areas. Also look at the nute packages and see if they contain anything other then N-P-K and if they do look for amount that state something like 0.15% or less.

The two that I use (pics included) are cheap cost about $12 and are found at lowes or other superstores and work well. from what i read. Saves on shipping ya know what I mean. Especially if this is your first grow start cheap. find out if you really like this hobby and get into more advanced nutes and setup when you know what you are doing. Simple is best and cheap usually. Best for beginners like myself.

I have been doing loads of Reading and Research, and Soil Was pretty much the last to cover, as I have a Good Source for Nutes.
