Help with Sativa based SCROG

Hello everyone. I'm going to be doing my first scrog and I'm currently in the design stage at the moment.

The question is ===> What is the best Sativa strain to grow under scrog conditions?


I have been looking at a few strains but to be honest there isn't a great deal of information on the internet regarding sativa based scrogs.

Arjan's Ultra Haze #1 is what I'm considering but I'm still not entirely convinced. I want an uplifting motivated high rather than the couchlock.

I would love to hear from you guys regarding the best sativa strain.

I love any phenotype of NLXHaze (the cough, electric haze, NL5XHaze, Sensi star, etc)

Just been googling and heard C99 would be an excellent candidate for a scrog. Maybe i'll go down this route instead of Arjan's haze -although i must admit the lure of a cup winner is appealing.

C99 is an excellent choice.

So i wanna scrog with this baby. I've heard that it is an awsome little gal to work with under micro-grow conditions. I've got a 400w hps for flowering and im gunna put her in a cool tube under a parabolic.

I have about 6 foot height of grow space limited to about 4 feet by 2.5 feet width and depth.

How high do i need my screen? I was thinking of putting her at about 24". Any ideas people???

You'd be better off with a 600W HPS (>50W/sq.ft.). ;)
There is no minimum hight. Scrog it as low as you can get it to go.

I'm pondering upon the idea of growing a vertical scrog. From what I can gather this is one bad ass method to get huge yields from tiny spaces...

Anyone done a vertical sativa scrog out there?

Im planning on spending some time up front on the design of the system coz previous attempts have been rushed and it just messes everything up.

The design i hope will be modelled in 3d and i'm gunna make sure that I have purchased all the hardware for the build before I even begin to build the grow-chamber.

Im gunna model it using 3d studio max So others can make good use of it.

Should I build a custom box within the attic or should i just seal of a portion of the attic and insulate the roof. Would doing this leave too much of a heat signaure even if vented properly with air cooled lighting?

Im torn here. Custom box or part of attic. Which would be the best. If i use a portion of the attic then I can simply fill the rafters with insulation and then hardboard/mylar over it. Do i need anti detection foil???

I cant find a single seed bank that sells C99 that isn't crossed with anything else. Anyone got any ideas where i can look???

I decided to go with Arjan's Haze number 3. I think this is perhaps just as good as C99 if not better due to the smaller height. I was gunna go with Nevs Haze but I heard it is difficult to grow and doesn't yield that much compared to this bad boy.
