cannabis cooking oil

so i need some cannabis cooking oil for brownies. i can use some vegetable oil i have laying around.. so my question is, can i just heat up some oil in a pan and toss some weed in there? most guides on the brownies i've read say you should make cannabis butter... and thats kinda annoying to make.. (adding water into the mix, freezing the concoction, then removing water)...

is there any specific way i should make my oil? also, my brownies wont taste anything like weed right? :thumbsup:
