Sticky Fingers
Greetings,
Well, yesterday was the long awaited harvest, and not a day too soon! 2 of my biggest buds were starting to rot! Not visible unless looking inside the bud. The rest seems OK, but to try and minimise any cross contamination, I have separated the stash into 3, 2 in shoe boxes, one hung on lines in a large cardboard box to allow free air flow.
I am now constantly monitoring to ensure the rot hasn't spread.
This was one sticky mother! 4.5 hours harvest left me with 3 joints worth of finger hash, which wiped me and my harvesting assistant out for over 4 hours (and both he and I are long term smokers with a very high tolerance).
Thanks to the person who advised to skin a few up before starting - during the process, the sticky fingers would have made that impossible - 1 joint I smoked without closing my fingers around it - just stuck to my index finger!
We close trimmed the buds and kept the close trim separate from the larger leaves, and now I plan to hash the close trim, cos it's too full of trichs to waste.
Question: should I dry the trim before starting the dreaded hash making process, or just freeze the trim as is and start immediately?
TIA,
Noobus
Thought for the day: I read an article that said the typical symptoms of stress are eating too much, impulse buying, and driving too fast. Are they kidding? That is my idea of a perfect day.

there are some how to hash threads, but i think if you plan on making water hash you can leave it wet then freeze or for other methods you want to dry it first then freeze it so that the trichomes come off easily. im not 100% positive about this though.
