Tired of this world as it is
i am going to buy some land some where in the middle of no where, and "live of the land". Build my own house and start a good crop of foods, have some animals, hunt, and fish. Live a life and be free, of course i am also going to grow a good crop of buds. i am also going try to start an orchard and grow some fruit.
This is going to be a long process, i am going to start preparing during this winter and start the process as spring comes.
i am just so fucking feed up with this world where it is so hard to make a living and that money is everything.
That is my plan :)

Sir, I like the way that plan sounds. I've always wanted to do something like that. Get away from the city and start over. I have an uncle that did exactly what you described. Except for growing the bud part. (I don't know, he probably does). I drove up to his house last summer. Such a nice place. It's very quiet and relaxing.

Yeah your uncle is a very smart man, i just hope it works out for me. I hope to not have to buy any food, to just be able to buy all my own, that would be the life.

No running water or electricity?

Theres lots of ways to live the simple life but it takes money to get started. There are lots of good ways to generate power and water. I think most people have just given up on living a decent simple life and just put up with the day to day drudgery of life.

Well I can certainly understand the feeling. But it is not so easy to do.
You have to buy land. Unless you pay cash you are going to have payments. Then there is real estate taxes.
It is going to take you at least a year or so to get crops growing. You will have to buy seeds, fertilizer and other stuff. You will need food to survive until your crop grows.
Do you like using the Internet? Then you need electricity and and Internet account. More monthly expences there.
Have you ever farmed? It is a little more complex than it seems.
You will need a car to get supplies. That means you will need insurance.
It is understandable how you feel, but is that really what you want?
I suggest before you do something that radical, go to a third world country and volunteer. Then you can learn what it really means to be without all the comforts of a western society.
Best be careful what you want, you might get it.

Damn, man... i always wonder why do people thinks that all the 3rd world is a great indian tribe... i live in a 3rd world country, and have a pc, internet (if not i wouldnt be posting here), and everything else... like millions of other brasilians also... of course there is regions of my country where there is nothing of it, but im sure there is regions like that everywhere... its hard to think that in the developed 1st world countries every home has a pc, internet, and everything else, even the ones that are in the midst of forests, fields, and such... but, maybe, thats why they are called the 1st world...
BTW, the "comforts of a western society" have a price... you must live a "western society" life... and i think thats exactly what he (and me also) does NOT want. Trading freedom for comfort dont seems very wise...

Where I volunteer there is no television. I have to walk 5 miles to an Internet connection. The water has to be boiled in order to be safe to drink.
Third World is a generic term. No disrespect intended.
My point is simple it is easy to say you want something, but in truth it might not be what you want.
I leave in a few months again for Guatemala.
