Damn, it's got wet
Greetings,
I was due to harvest this morning, but left my plant out. It p*ssed down this morning, and my plant is now soaked (some of the lower branches actually collapsed under the weight of the rain).
Question: Should I leave the plant as is until it dries? Should I try and dry it myself (don't like the thought of dabbing it with a paper towel - loose too many trichs?) before harvest? Should I harvest anyway (won't this increase the chance of rot?)
This has been a total bodge grow (no real effort, lots of moving the plant about, bashing into stuff) and she's survived admirably, and I'd hate to screw it up now :-). I'm addicted now, and the next one will be done properly.
Cheers,
Noobus

I would Take the plant indoors to dry if possible, if your hanging your buds to dry , then you are better off leaving it & letting it dry out , after all it wont take long as its flowering and can use water very quickly.

Thanks Rhino, you confirmed my own thoughts. Indoors it's come, bar 1 bud which was too twisted on the stalk to save so has been harvested.
Yes, I'll be hanging and then glass jar curing. It's all gone a little over my planned time (checking those trichs, rather than going by the pistels), but fortunately I lucked into an ounce of nice sativa donated with another clone by my friendly not-so-local growing mate, so I can take it nice and slow :-)
Thanks,
Noobus

Damn, it's got wet
Around here I have to harvest any outdoor stuff at least a week early due to bud rot from rain. You gotta watch that shit around this time of year. I would cut them down and bring them in to dry as soon as possible.
You ougt to make your thought of the day into your signiture.

put a fan on it, don't let it mold ... mold can kill you, if smoked ... :smokin:

Damn, it's got wet
Thanks Guys,
I took your advice and brought the plant in and trained a fan (a side to side moving one, low power, and observed to avoid over drying) on the plant, and that seems to have worked. I've stopped watering it as well.
A couple more days to be sure, then the long awaited harvest!
This is quite an addictive pastime isn't it :-)
Cheers,
Noobus

should i harvest this yet, its starting to get kinda cold here on the east side of the us...another question is if i take braches off that are more mature than others will it hurt the rest of the plant? but i am happy to say the least so far i am projecting about 2 1/2 oz's off her, thanks for the help.p.s. what nute. do you suggest for outdoor in soil for veg and bloom?

Taking off more mature branches won't hurt the others. Some people do perpetual budding this way. I use Fox Farm's nutes.
