ok i was looking through wikipedia, because me and slip got into an argument about whether or not the pinky toe is necessary...
there was an aol news thing about how scientists have theorized that the appendix IS useful, blah blah blah...and someone commented that "whats next? our little toe isn't needed, remove it!"
so we started talking about the toe thing, and i decided to look it up. i put numerous things into the search feature, found nothing useful, and then put in simply "feet". i tend to go off on tangents occasionally, and i happened upon this description that i found funny...

mods, if you think this is not appropriate, i understand if you must delte it...i just found that too damned hilarious to not share. ( hey, at least i put it in the correct sub-forum ;) )

The little toe helps a lot with balance. The pinky finger is even more useless - all it really does is slightly increase the size of objects we can grasp.
