Ventilation am i figureing this right??????
Based on my calculations for room size . i have two cabinets one is 2x4.5x6=54 cu ft
the flowering one is 3.5x4x7=98cu ft total of 152 cu ft The air exchange every 3 min would be 152 / 3= 50.6 cfm (50.6 cfm) + (50.6 x 10%) + (50.6 x 20%) + (0) = 65.78 rounded up 66 cfm The 10% part of the equation is used and added because im using a cooltube reflector on light and the 20% was added for the use of a carbon filter added to ventilation for a total of "66 CFM IS THE MINIMUM REQUIRED"to ventilate the box`s .....
if this calculation is correct then what size vortex fan and carbon filter should i go with?
I need something that will be big enough to pull air through the box`s without the use of additional vent fans???? THANKS

how big of a light do you have
depending on light and filter i would go with a 300-400cfm
Ventilation am i figureing this right??????
well i have two boxes that im gonna link up for ventilation ... my veg, clone, and mom box is just running on 4ft fluro tubes.... now my flowering room is gonna be running on a 600 watt digital

Don't forget to factor in flow restrictions between rooms.
And load factor for lighting - a 600 and flouros- prob 800 watts?
Call it a 1.5 load for the lights, 30% for inter-room restrictions.
Other than that, math looks good. Flow between rooms may complicate.
Thanks for reading thru all that math.

I have a 250-cfm inline duct fan feeding my coolhood w/400 HPS in a 2'x4'x7' cabinet ... relatively straight ducting, but 250 cfm doesn't even come close to what it needs ... my next one will be minimum 400 cfm, and I bet I'll still want more ... :smokin:

Ok i just picked up a vortex 600 6" fan 449 cfm and also a Profilter 75 carbon filter. Damn these carbon filters are heavy!!! Also got a speed control unit for the fan also.... Im a little confused here... I would like to vent the box`s and run ducting to cooltube to carbon filter then out through roof. The Profilter 75 is a reversible filter it has a flange on one end that will fit to a 6" ducting the other end of the Profilter 75 is a solid plug that can be taken out for when the use of the one end is done and you turn the canister around and use the other half of filter.... My confusion is that if the canister is sealed on the one end and open on the other how do i hook this canister up so that all my exhaust filters through the canister then out through roof? Im confused can anyone shed some light on my dilema????? Thanks

just hook the tubing to the cannister. if its the same canister im thinkin about after performance slowes down you can take off the canister flip it around and hook it back up. and get about double the use out of it.
to hook it up go from cooltube fan carbon filter and blowing out of carbon filter

Ok but what about the other box i have? How do i scrub the air from both boxes then vent it out roof? Do i connect ducting to 1st box run it through second box... then to cool tube ...then to scrubber.... wish there was a way to run ducting from 1st box to 2nd box to cooltube to scrubber then through roof to vent outside, Is there? Or is that a wrong way to set this up? Am i missing something here ....am i gonna have to run seperate ducting to an additional inline fan to vent out roof?????

Here is a sketch of cabinets within a room if this helps
