60 Minutes reports on MMJ

tonight at 7 (i think) on CBS 60 Minutes reports on medical marijuana. seeing as 60 minutes tends to skew right i'm anxious to see what they have to say.

It was basically about how the system in California is abused, that what was meant for certain diseases or illnesses has become too all encompassing. They had people from both supporters and opponents of prop 215 weighing in on the abuse and both were in a slight agreement on this. Some supporters of prop 215 said they didn't want the prop to include so many things and that of course there is some abuse but pharmacies have to deal with prescription drug abuse. They had a hidden camera thing on a doctor who was writing out scripts for everything including foot pain from high heels.

They talked about some rapper dude that has dispensaries and how he was targeted by the DEA because of his videos which protray him more as a dealer than dispensary owner.

They talked more about DEA raids, other forms of abuse of the system such as were they are getting the pot from.

Some guy who delivers it didn't do us any favors as he fed the lazy stoner stereotype by saying if you smoke this kind of bud you will just sit on the couch all day long (he might have even said you would be useless). Think before you talk fool!

I think that was the promo they ran on the CBS Evening news for what's on 60 Minutes this week.
