Sorry, need to say this somewhere

I'm moving from Seattle to Springfield, OR in about ten hours.

Holy. Shit.

I'm going through a bit of anxiety.

I'm not an emotional person at all. My best friends refer to me an the emotional brick wall. I'm probably a little more emotional than that but not by much. Yet, here I am almost on the verge of tears - the last time that happened was in 7th grade (I'm moving to Oregon to attend the U of Oregon as a freshman) when my best friend died.

I just said my final goodbyes to a bunch of my friends. It occurred to me that, even though I know I will see them again, this is the last day that I am a semi-regular part of their lives. Oh, sure, I will make sure to see them all when I come up for X-mas and a group of them are already planning on coming down to see me (that's a long trip too!), but in terms of just randomly running into one of them, or anything like that... we're done. I guess I'm not taking this as stoically as I thought I would. I've always known I was leaving my town, but man this is tough.

*shrug* sorry, I just needed to let things lose. I could use a bowl or 3 right now... Ah well. Oh yeah... I know nobody in Springfield, and I can't bring anything down with me cause my parentals are helping me move, so I'm not going to be smoking for a long while either!

I know what you mean. I am also not too emotional, but I really cried driving home from college at the end of the school year when a sad song came on the radio.

Last year in college I got so close to al of my friends there that I didn't want to leave.


BTW, I'm moving back into my dorm again on Saturday, I am sooooooo excited!!! :D

I'm extremely emotional and can tell you that when you get settled and start meeting people over in Oregon you'll feel fine.
Leaving is always the hardest part ,just make sure you keep in touch with the people you think are worth keeping in touch with.

My brother used to live in Springfield. You'll have little trouble making new connections! It IS sad to leave friends, but there will be new friends and experiences. This is an opportunity for growth! What you need to do about your pipes and stuff, is package it up and have a friend mail it to you- just double bag everything so no smells leak out! - Granny:hippy:

Ahhh I am going through the exact same thing right now!!! I am moving from San Diego to Maui on Wednesday and I'm freaking out!! I am gonna miss my lover....

Change is so fucking scary!
