Mould on clones
Well the first mistake was to try and fit 50 clones into a single propagation tray.....
The second mistake was not seperating the rockwool cubes prior to inserting the clones.
I have now seperated the cubes and the prop tray is quite full.
Been misting 2 times a day and they are on their fourth day right today.
I noticed that there were two or three that had a dark mould growing. These have been removed and I can't see any more signs of mould however it could of course be in it's early stages.
Question....
Is there something delicate enough to use to prevent further mould without harming my babies??
Should I continue as normal witht the misting?
Should I open the top of the dome to let some airflow in?
Temps are 79F and Humidity is quite high probably 70% or more.
Thanks as always...

the high humidity is the culprit ... stop misting for awhile (sorry, I don't know how to stop mold once it starts) ... do NOT smoke pot that has mold, it can do serious damage to you, bronchitis being the least of the possible consequences ... :smokin:

By the fourth day you should be able to mist only if they look like they need it and open the vents some.
Are you sure it's a dark mold or is it just some of the leaves turning black and rotting? When a tray gets crowded and the leaves are touching a lot you often get rotting leaves. But that's just leaf tissue composting quickly, not mold. If this is the case, just trim the black part off the leaves, the rest of the plant is ok.

Makes sense. Thanks as always.
Pharma you hit it....rotting leaves. I threw out five of them dammit....
I have trimmed any rotting areas and all else look healthy.
For any of you reading this ...... 50 clones in a prop tray is TOO MUCH!!!
IMO.

only mist once daily at most

and i would say 25 at most in a prop
