Is this normal?
So I have this weed plant which has been growing since the beginning of July and its about 18inches tall. It looks healthy, but the leaves on the bottom of the plant look like they are shriveling up. In between those leaves and the nice green ones there is one pair of leaves that is light green. The rest of the leaves are fine. What could explain this? Should I possibly transplant it?

Didn't notice but at 3 months old and you havent already transplanted your plant you need too.And the hieght at only 18 inches in 3 months sounds like you have it in a small container. It needs a bigger container for root growth.I'd recomend you transplant it.Use a 3 to 5 gallon container.Get new soil too fox farm's is the type of soil i use.And if you havent feed it give it some nutes. You can find fertilizers at your local nursery along with soil you need.Good luck and i hope this helps you out.Happy hunting! Oh yea those wilting and yellowing leaves dont worry about them its a natural process this late in the plants life!

Thx, for those tips. The plant has about a 4inch diameter pot, and I have already given it nutrients. That is why I am guessing the only problem that would lead to that is root-bound. However, I dont even know a whole lot about it. Although, I can tell it would need a bigger pot, because the stem near the bottom isnt as thick as at that top. I would like to transplant it, but I am afraid it could die after.

Just transplant it,you will not regret it. It will thrive in the soil you put it in.Flush your plant b4 you transplant it:if you have a 1 gallon pot use 2 gallons of water to flush and for a 2 gallon pot use 4 gallons etc.Good luck!

1 gal per foot is the rule of thumb for pots, give a better description of what your set up is. light, feeding ect and some help will be easier to give. Just look at the sticky stinky did and go from there.

Lol, funny thing is that the pot I am currently using isnt even a gallon. I had my plant in a solarium for the whole summer. About a week ago, I took it inside my house and put it in my room. I did this, because it was starting to get cold out. One day I took a look at it and one of the leaves shriveled just a little bit, but its still alive. I assumed it got frost bitten. Now its in my room safe and sound, and I am using a single florescent bulb. Seems to do a good job. I found this old lamp that you can hang from the ceiling and it was sitting in my basement just collecting dust, so I put it to good use. I covered the entire inside with aluminum foil, and hung it up from my ceiling. The beauty of it is you can adjust the hooks, so I just keep it maybe an inch or two from the plant. I think this is good enough, since the plant seems to be growing more leaves now.

For 3 months old, your plant looks R E A L L Y stretched. And the tiny pot is contributing to that, as well as the lack of light. If it were me, and I wanted to ever wish to harvest anything off this plant, I'd 1. Transplant right away (3 US gallon pot) 2. get rid of the aluminum foil and paint your walls flat white and 3. Get more of those florescent bulbs. You are going to need them to try to get this girl filled out.

Were talkin U.S. gallons! And thx for pix B1!nd all the more help i'll be able to give to you.Transplant it right away into a 3 or 5 gallon container and put way more light on it!Start your light right away too, at 12 hours light and 12 hours dark for the flowering process. If possible get wide or warm spectrum florescent lights on that sucker! Diffenitly more then a bulb or 2.And the highest watts you can find, like 250w or 400w.Whatever you can afford. The more light you give it the more bud you get from her if she is a her!And one last thing it might take the plant a little while to get used to the indoor climate.Being that it has been outside for 3 months. So the growth of the plant might be at a stand still right now.Just in shock from bringing it indoors from outside. It should adapt to its new environment within a couple of days.If you follow all tips and tricks we gave you:) One more thing i hate to say it so i won't. Just put that sucker under 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark.Keep us updated and let us know how things are going for ya. Good luck man. The leaves at the bottom of the plant don't worry about those it's a natural process this late in the plants life and they just dont get that much sunlight. No big deal!
