insecticidal soap safety
i've been trying to find some info about the safety of using insecticidal soap (safer brand) when the plant is flowering...i've got a couple weeks left until harvest and i'm trying to get rid of some whiteflies, but i don't want to ruin my buds, i.e. will it be unsafe to smoke if i spray them now?
this stuff is supposed to be all natural and everything, but i wanted to know any additional information anyone might know. for example, does the solution absorb into the buds or does it evaporate or ??? any knowledge on this would be real helpful:)

Don't worry about it- safer's edible, though not particularly tasty.
It just dries on the surface. If you can taste it on harvested and dried stuff, you've used way too much.
It's gotta be the single insecticide most used on OMRI crops- you've probabley eaten some today. The spray mist can be irritating, and some folks are more sensitive than others- but I've only seen anybody have a reaction during multi-acre applications- ie hours of exposure to mist.

I also use Safer products only when I get to that last month I like to just use a chili recipe,or tobacco juice a couple times a week and it keeps the pests away pretty good, but I rinse them and just the leafs. It's a lot of work if u have 15-20ft trees.lol.Good luck. This year the grasshopers have been vicious.
