I took a trip to Mexico a couple weeks ago and had not smoked all day. I wasn't planning on bringing anything back but really wanted to get stoned after the long drive. I've heard it was legal over there, but my friend said it wasn't so i didn't bother asking anyone. (The last place you wanna go to jail is in another country!) But for future references could someone please confirm the truth about this question? thanx:baggy:
weed is not legal in mexico. I have a cousin out there and i asked a while back just out of curiosity. he said that in mexico they view marijuana as being worse than cocaine or even heroin (sorry mods). the reason why there is so much weed is because the government doesnt have the resources to have helicopters and Shit like that to fly over and detect growing operations so most of them go unnoticed. there is alot of rural areas in mexico, so whoever grows weed, either pretends to grow something legit and grows weed in a more secluded area or they pay off (or threaten) their local government to look the other way... in mexico, i think the government doesnt ask where you got all this extra money from ur mj crop.. i think.. ima ask... not too long ago mj smokers had a sit in at their congress offices and demanded that marijuana be legalized, everyone got stoned, and only a few people got arrested for bein rowdy... needless to say, it wasnt legalized...
If you have enough money you can probably buy your way out of a murder charge. I have never heard of a mexican official who wouldnt take a bribe. There might be some, just never heard of one.
Nah its not legal in mexico, but im sure u could pay the cops off if you got caught..
