Transparent vs. solid colored pieces

So Ill start off with a lil back story befor I get to the question. I just got a nice new bong, which is solid orange with blue swirls and such, it caught my eye and was cheap since the shop is going out of bussiness,(so sad to hear too) and I really like it, but it causes a problem with me not being able to see the inside. I like being able to see the smoke fill through it, see the water line so I know if I have to much, or not enough. It just has really started to bother me. So, does anyone else have this same problem as I do, or maybe Im crazy. I also dont think I could own a solid colored steam roller, you would just kill your self everytime you hit it.

So the question at hand is solid color, or transparent.

sweet the first person to vote solid colors! woot! but i've never used transparent ones and they do sound handy.

Only if you take minimal care of them, and they arent fully transparent.

I love my glass bong, and like you I like to see how much water is in there and its alot easier to see how much smoke is in there :thumbsup:

I don't have a preference, really.
I do like seeing the smoke, and watching as the pipe turns colors after a few sessions, but it's not nessescary for me.
There are some really nice ones that aren't transparent.
It just depends on the individual piece.

Doesn't really matter to me. As long as I get stoned. :jointsmile:

yeah i like when i can see the smoke and tell how much watter is in there

I've smoked out of a solid steamroller and a solid bong.

Both of them annihilate cause you don't know when to stop filling it up with smoke.


Oh.. and the bong is white so it hides the smoke even more.
