Failed...Now what?...

Well I failed my pre-employment drug test due to the fact that the sub I used "forgot" (go figure) that he had taken a hit from a bowl when he was drunk....while this does freaking suck, it isn't the end of the world. I have been in much worse situations. So here is my question. The boss is willing to try to do whatever she can to see if there is some sort of way I can fix the problem and work there. Is anyone familiar with major corporate HR policies. Is there any possible way she can pull for me to get a retest or is it always a straight up zero-tolerance rule. I'm going in tomorrow to see what is going to happen and I am asuming there is probably no recourse I can take. Any information on this subject would be really helpful. Thanks a ton everyone!

I saw your last posts and now your new one.....that sucks. But 1 hit? How long prior to the test? I am sure the conversation was nervewracking with HR as you subbed right? What did you say?

what kind of company is it? have you already signed an offer? how long before the test did your "sub" smoke?
