my friend just bought a ps3 a week ago and he got online in graw2 and ever room was laggy as hell u could'nt even walk he put up with this lame ass system for a week so he got tired of it and traded it in on a trusty 33% fail rate xbox360 but hey online works like a charm i'll take that trade off anyday lol anyways now he's happy and can finely play an online game with no problems cheers:thumbsup:

yea, you shouldn't shoot down a whole network, just because your friend's connection was lagging. there are lots of factors that can effect the network:the game your playing, how good your connection is, how good the other peoples connection is, how busy the server is. i played lots of games at my friends house who has a ps3 and online is smooth most of the time.
When it comes to the Internet, you've got to understand that you need to deal with lag at times. Anyone who knows a lot about computers like I do knows that, and will agree that there are many times where it's server-side, which you can do nothing about... and that most of the time it's temporary. Or it could be just you, and you have a bad connection that can't push those packets out or receive them as fast as it would be recommended. With PC games, there are even more factors, such as if your system sucks or not. With a PS3, however, all games should run fine on it, as it goes for hardware.
ur right not with the ps3 but ps3's online service it sucks and it was'nt the graw2 cd as it played perfect offline and it was'nt his connection as i hooked up my xbox360 and it played just fine as he has comcast upgraded to 8mg instead of the reg 6mgQuote:

The x-box is done completely differently. Sony games each game runs its game servers but X-Box hosts all of its games servers to my knowledge.
