HARVEST!!!! First timer with a home made system, lots of pics

So, tonight is harvest, and It was much much easier of a growing medium than my partner and I anticipated. No PH problems, no nutrient deficiencies, and no lock out! All we did was follow exactly the General Hydroponics "re-circulating, keep it simple" feeding schedule, and made sure to check the PH everyday. We finished it off with KoolBloom dry and Humbolts Gravity, which really does make the buds swell to maximum yeild.

The bucket we made was very simple (you can see construction pics in the earlier posts). A 3 gallon bucket inside of a 5 gallon bucket, with 4 holes for net pots, lava rock for medium, and a 180gph pond pump using a sprinkler head tube system. It was cheap, easy, and obviously effective.

We did learn a couple things though, like to use the same genetics for all of your hydro plants!!! We ended up with 2 huge plants and 2 smaller ones, making light distribution a problem, and harvest time tricky.

We're considering giving up soil all together, and just making 2 more identical buckets.

IMO it would be easier to connect the buckets together and have a seperate res. to work with, if your gonna have more than 3 buckets
