Building for dummies?

Just curious if anyone knows of a good site that has building tips made plain and simple? for example, on this thread from this site, about half way down the guy shows exactly step by step how to hook up the two sets of lights in a rubbermaid grow box showing the wires that you find, how to put them together, etc. Now I know how to wire my growbox lights if I wanna do a rubbermaid! :thumbsup: Cannabis Culture Magazine Forums: DIY stealth rubbermaid growbox

I had to kind of hunt to find this though and if there were a good userfriendly easy to understand do it yourself site for doing things like drilling holes in a wall, installing ducts, wiring other items such as computer fans, etc. I'd really love to be able to go to it.

Ok it's official. I give up on how to do construction and am going to buy the homebox xs which is currently selling at a store in Mass for roughly $115. Well worth it since if I figure I'm worth at least $50/hour and that it will take me approx 20 hours to build something on my own, I've already saved a bundle!! lol.

Hopefully the next time I post a thread it will be my grow log! :)

lol, i went to lowes the other day and got some lumber, today i have a 5'3 cab sitting in my room, cost me under 40$, im glad i know how to build stuff, been doing it since i was a kid,

hey man i have a 250 w mh conversion and hps light were i bought from htg supply.And i was wonder how did you go about building your box because im about ready to grow mine?i was thinking about just putting 1/4 plywood boards together and getting some henges for the door.Put i dont know if making a frame first out of some 2x2s would be a better foundation and keep it standing better.i plan on growing 4 to 6 plants in it so my measurements were 23in deep,68in high,and 29in long.i also have to get a powerdrill to put bolts in and cut some 4inch holes at the bottom of intake and one at the to for and exaust.

p.s. what is your vent like do you vent 24 hrs or only when the light is on.
