Kindred Cafe

Hello!

My boyfriend and I are in the Toronto area for the long weekend, and unfortunatley the plans we had with friends fell through :(. I saw the Kindred Cafe link in another post, has anyone been there, or know anything about it? I checked out the website, but it was mostly about coffee ;) Not exactly what we're looking for. :jointsmile:

Please let me know, we'd like to go visit it this weekend, but not really sure if it's worth the trip, also please e-mail me (my e-mail's in my profile) if you'd like to meet up (we're also into a few other... alternative lifestyles if you get my drift:D) or if you'd just like to hang out! It sure beats sitting here jsut the two of us all weekend!

Hi hon, Pop over to treatingyourself.com . Marco has a regular gathering at the cafe once a week, I believe. He runs Treating Yourself and will likely give you a copy of his magazine (it's excellent, by the way- a down to earth medical mag- no "bud babes", etc).

I went to Kindred Cafe on a recent trip to toronto.
its not something that you can get into unless your there with a member.

it was really interesting it was way nicer then what I figured I thought it was gonna be a hole in the wall but it was a really nice place and everyone we met who worked there was really nice.

from what ive heard (i have yet to go) its a very discreet method of service. theres a "smoke-friendly" patio on the roof and rentable rooms with volcanos, xboxs, tvs, etc.

its not advertised as "smoke here, were a bunch of potheads who avoid the police", but rather as a free-trade coffee house with no predjudice against those who wish to smoke

dont know about the kindred thing, buttt, there is something called Hot Box Cafe, in down town. heres the link for it .. HOT BOX CAFE ... i live maybe 20-30 min away from it. Went there once, its 15$ to get in. And you have to bring your own bud. Theres rules tho, liek you cant ask people for a hit and shit. But mostly common sence. They also sell these shakes that i have yet to try. Apparently there liek "bhang", milk with weed in it. and they are spoosed to get you blasted outa your ass
