I still haven't used pest strips but they SHOULD.
Neem is a good thrip preventative.
Pyrethrin bombs are the shiznat for killing thrips- Set off 2 bombs, spaced out by 3-4 days, to kill any bugs that had been in egg stage during the first one.
Pest strips seemed to work wonders for me!
thanks everyone.....
i'm not sure if it was bugs or what
i'm beginning to think I over neemed early in the week and that why some of my leaves look like shit
but I put in the pest strip just to be sure
I tried all those organic sprays and mixtures to try and get rid of my thrips and aphids, and nothing worked that well. One of those pest strips though, killed every single insect on my plant in 24 hours. You'll have to leave the strip in for at least a week to get rid of the pupating thrips.
Wait, you're not even sure if you have thrips? You should be able to see them quite clearly if you do.
What's in/on them pest strips?
I read that neem gets into the plant as a "systemic". Does it "add some flavor", too?
The strips have an organophosphate pesticide in them. Essentially, it's a neurotoxin that insects are far more susceptible to than vertebrates. Since it vaporizes at room temperature and it isn't sprayed directly on your plants, it won't leave a residue on them. Still, you might want to dry your plants in a different room than the pest strip is in.
