getting a hook-up though someone good?

I like this girl but to afraid to ask her out and one of my friends said that she would get me a hook up but I don't trust her (a what I would think is a hellspawn) and her hot sidekick so should I tell her to get me the hook up or should I ask her out myself (even though I said her sidekick is hot I would'nt want to go out with her)

do i tyourself... you're gonna see alot of rejection in your life... get used to it now... worse that she can do is tell you no.
