Has anyone ever heard of mix ups when ordering seeds??
I ordered 2 packets of Northern Lights and One packet of Hindu Kush straight from Nirvana seeds exactly two weeks and one day ago. I was lucky enough for them to make it through customs and into my grubby little paws today.
I eagerly ripped open my stealth package to find three ziplock packets (NO FREEBIES ) tucked away inside. Something didn't look right when I first glanced at the seeds.
There is one labled 'HK' which has tiny little seeds in it.
The other two packets are labled 'NL' and heres where things get wierd: one packet has these HUGE GIGANTIC greasy looking beans in it, and the other packet has tiny little beans identical to the 'HK' labled beans.
WTF? If they're all NL why do the two packets of seeds look so different? They look almost as if they're from a totally different strain. No similarities whatsoever except being cannabis..
I'm starting to wonder if Nirvana accidentally wrote NL on the HK seeds because there are 20 identical tiny seeds and 10 gigantic boat seeds. Are Kush seeds much larger than regular cannabis seeds??
For those of you who ordered NL and HK, could you please describe the size of your seeds?

Haven't tried NL, but I have some Nirvana Hindu Kush, normal size.

Thanks man, Maybe its just 2 different phenotypes of the NL moms? I don't think they burnt me or anything, I'm just alittle 'iffy' whether or not I believe that they got the labels right.
Here is a scan. You can clearly see the far right 'NL' beans are about double in size as the middle 'NL' beans. The Kush look about the same size as the middle 'NL'.
I'm doing a trial run to make sure which is which. I've put 2 beans from the first 2 packets in seperate cups of water, and 3 beans from the gigantic NL seeds in water as well. I put three of the big beans in water because one was cracked and sank (I remember reading somewhere if they sink they're dead??)
I'm going to keep you all up to date, and we can explore the Kush and 'Lights together :smokin:

they're can sometimes be a little variation with the seed size depending on stock...i got two packs of Mandala Hashberry and one had seeds larger but both appear to be growing the same...hope it helps

wouldn't be the first time I have heard similar reports about Nirvana, and a couple other cheaper seedbanks ... you get what you pay for, pretty much, but that doesn't mean they can't grow into very good plants ... good luck :smokin:

BTW the sinking seed deal is bullshit .

Well, when I got my order from Nirvana, I got Afghani, California Orange, and Northern Lights. The ones labeled northern lights never sprouted. The ones labeled afghani turned out to be the California Orange, and the ones labeled COB turned out to be one afghani (only two sprouted) and the other one is growing exactly like a NL. Not sure, but it seems like they took 30 seeds, dumped them into bags and labeled them whatever. Not a problem, since I don't really care too much about the strain itself, but when I wasn't planning on growing sativa right away (the COB) I was forced to change things around to accomodate for it. All in all, I ended up with 3 ounces from it, and the NL is in week 6. I'd order from them again, even with the low germination rate and the seed mix up.

All my seeds i've ever ordered from nirvana have germinated and sprouted
to be frank i think nirvana is a brilliant choice of seedbank considering the price :)
