damnit, informed a little too late

so i get a call from my buddy who tells me there's a party going on at a freind of mine's i havent hung out with in a while... I'd totally be willing to go had i nown earlier... thing is I already agreed to work a shift tomorrow at 7am (got a call from the boss earlier, it was supposed to be one of my off days tomorrow)... wich means it's too late to go out and party and that's too early for me to be up to go out and drink... damnit i never get to fuckin party cause of this job:mad:... i usually work the bright and early on weekends too cause im the prep guy at a local panera, which means i gotta be in there in the morning to slice and chop up all the meats and produce they need for the day... it's an easy job but having to be in early on the weekends is a real downside, it's caused me to never be able to see a bunch of my freinds that i'd only get to see on the weekends... :(

fortunately though, this is all ending soon as i have turned in a new availability for the schoolyear that takes effect next week and i will have saturdays off, hopefully then i'll be able to rekindle some old freindships and catch up on things

I would say do both but I dont know if I would want to be all hung over if I had to get up early and chop a bunch of stuff....could lose a finger.

yeah thing is that i dont drive, so if i went and drank i probably would have been spending the night... which wouldve meant i'd have been fucked when it came time to get to work tomorrow... even if, doing that job hungover just fucking sucks, ive done it before and it wasnt fun, dont wanna do it again, i drink on my off nights

dont worry about missing too many parties. I used to feel the same way you do but in the long run your liver and livelyhood will be preserved and you will also have made quite a bit more money than those who were partying all the time. It will all catch up to you in the long run. On the other hand my school schedule just changed too for school recently and I couldn't be happier.

Yeah man, I'd just go to work. It's better to make money then to drink / smoke to excess and feel like crap the next day. It's even worse to suck it up and go to work. I remember one night I went to the bar till around midnight, then a party after until about 3:30 in the morning. I finally got home around 3:45A.M. before crashing until 6:30A.M. when I had work....that was a bad idea but thankfully I was working with another person who was equally hung over / still currently wasted as I was. I don't recommend it, and I won't do it again myself =P

There will be plenty of parties and always will be. Besides, it starts to get old after awhile.

My guess...you went to bed at 9 pm so you could get the recommended amount of sleep...

Could have called in sick. Out on the lash all night, next morning you're bound to feel ill......see where I'm going?
